Who Will Win This Weekend?

Tennis Balls

Well well, the Os is getting very interesting. My fave tennis player beat Murray. Good on you Nadal. Sorry Andy, he is just so the best.  Not only that though our wonderful old timer Federer now aged 34 got to show Djokovic at 28 a thing or two as well! As the round robin progresses we have to wait till later on to see the knock-out portion of this lovely event pan out.

Golf Balls

8 English players are currently in the top 13 players in the Professional Golf Championship in Dubai. We are on round one and everyone wants to find themselves in round two naturally. We have 3000 golf courses in the UK, if you did one per day it would still take eight and a half years to get round them all. We have 740,000 affiliated golfers in England alone.

If you take sand, sun, suitable grass seeds and tons and tons of water of course you get a golf course in a desert. The United Arab Emirates for example has 20. Dubai courses attract foreigners more than any others and that is where the PGA European golf is being played out right now.

Horses and Training

Golden Horn is Horse of The Year. Here he is after winning the Epsom Derby 2015.  Good luck over the winter Frankie, and good luck to Golden Horn in his stud career.

Talking of studs it will be interesting when Frankel’s off spring hit the track.  There were no astonishing payouts on his offspring at the Tattershalls sales recently but then they will be from his first season at stud so we have to see how they go.

Luca Cumani having lost 35 horses recently said he ‘now has 50 two year olds which is up to his normal numbers with 48 others of varying ages in training’. He has a really nice web site, just type in his name in your browser the search box, and then look for the list of his horses along with great pictures of them all. A win for Luca.

We have at least 600 licensed trainers in the UK. On the jump side of course (April to April) we have Paul Nicholls 41 wins, 66 placed, 141 runs, with £537,019 prize money.  Number two is John Ferguson who has 63 wins, 85 placed, and 178 runs which is more than Nicholls but he had less in prize money, £467,599. Use this line http://goo.gl/TZH8Ca to view the whole of the rankings list and get going on your calculator to work out how to bet and on whom, add in the form book and see how you go.  I have no idea how tipsters do it, I never place bets myself not my expertise, but let me know if it works for you.

I wonder how much will be added to prize money this weekend?
