Premier League Review & Free Tips

There are six Premier League matches today.

One of these is an early kick off at 12.45 pm. This is the game between Southampton and Everton.

Of the remaining five matches we have highlighted two games for our interest.

Sunderland v Norwich

Sunderland were bitterly disappointing last week when losing 4-2 away at Leicester.

However Sunderland are expected to struggle this season, and last week's performance could well become the 'norm'.

Because of Sunderland's early season woes Norwich have now been reduced to a tight 6/4 price, you can now argue this lacks value.

Early team news says that John O'Shea could return in defence, and Adam Johnson may also return to the line up.

Norwich are without Martin Olsson, Youssouf Mulumbu and Kyle Lafferty.

Conclusion -

A tight game is expected and a draw could be the value at 9/4.

Watford v West Bromwich Albion

Watford play their first home game of the season back in the Premier League.

The Baggies Could Have To
Much For Watford Today?
The Hornets played good attacking football at Everton last week when they come away with a 2-2 draw. However the 'expert's have already mentioned that this style may not suit at home.

West Brom lost 3-0 at home to Manchester City on Monday evening in front of the Sky cameras.

However manager Tony Pulis admitted he got the tactics wrong playing a 4-4-2 formation. When Pulis converted back to his trusted formation of 4-5-1 they looked far brighter and carried better attacking strength.

We can expect West Brom to play defensive this afternoon with the aim not to concede.

Latest team news says that Watford Odion Ighalo could make a start. Whilst West Brom could see record new signing Salomon Rondon in contention to start.

Conclusion -

I think this could be a tricky afternoon for Watford as they adjust to the Premier League. West Brom could well be value quoted at 13/5.

Have a great day.

ATP Montreal Tennis Review

Another set of matches continue today at the ATP tournament in Montreal.

Many of the sports top players descended on Montreal this year with the only big name missing being Roger Federer.

We are at the Quarter Final stage now and one match catches the eye today.

This is the match up between Rafael Nadal and Kei Nishikori.
Can Nadal Get The Better Of His
Quarter Final Opponent Today?

For the normal bettor who takes the odd 'fleeting' look at tennis, it may come as a bit of a surprise that Rafael Nadal is not favourite to win later today. But if we looks in to some of the stats and data is this a mistake on behalf of the bookmakers or have they got it correct once more?

Nadal has been a star player in the past but has suffered badly with injuries in the past few years. Where as Kei Nishikori is getting better and better and has youth on his side.

Looking at the head to head record of the two players, we can see that Nadal as a 7-0 win record over Nishikori.

The ATP Montreal tournament is played on outdoor 'hard' courts. Nadal has a win record of 3-0 over Nishikori, with his latest win being in the Australian Open in March 2014 in straight sets.

Nadal's win record on hard courts in 2015 is a slightly poor record of 10 wins to 4 (71%).

Last year Nadal's record on hard courts was 20 wins and 6 losses (77%)

Nadal's 2013 record on hard courts was 36 wins and 4 losses (90%).

Therefore we can see that Nadal's win strike rate on hard courts has steadily declined.

What about Kei Nishikori?

As we mentioned earlier he has never beaten Nadal, but what has his record been like on hard courts this year?

Nishikori has won 24 matches and lost 5 to date giving him a win strike rate of 83%.

Last year Nishikori's hard court record stood at 39 wins and 10 losses (80%)

Nishikori's 2013 record on hard courts was 26 wins and 13 losses (67%)

Therefore we can see that Nishikori has improved in the past two years on this surface.

Conclusion

It looks set to be a hard fought match. If Nadal can provide the goods he should keep his 100% record against Nishikori. But with Nadal seeming to be steadily in decline, and Nishikori getting better it will be a match that will be intriguing to watch but will hold no investment from me!

We Take A Look At The 'Sovereign Stakes'

The biggest prize money on offer in the UK mainland today, is the Sovereign Stakes at Salisbury.

Eleven runners take their chances for the £42'533 prize.

Thanks to our friends at NWRacing we have had a look at the main competitors of the race.

From the ratings we can see straight away that the race is competitive. However TULLIUS is top rated over all, and top on both R1 & R2 ratings. But with the ratings so tight there really isn't much to choose between the top six horses.

Using NWRacing's unique Official Figures Strategy (OFS) we can see that CUSTOM CUT comes out top. MUSTADEEM who came out towards the bottom of the ratings comes 2nd on the OFS. Third and fourth are KODI BEAR & TULLIUS.

Taking a look at the Speed Figures we can once again see that TULLIUS comes out well in 2nd. Top Speed figure horse is KODI BEAR with CUSTOM CUT joint 3rd with MUSTADEEM.

Nothing much to choose between as far as recent trainer form goes. But KODI BEAR, TULLIUS, MUSTADEEM & FANCIFUL ANGEL have good recent form.

Looking in to the race in a little more detail...

TULLIUS won this race in 2012 but carries 5lb more today. Won a Group 2 race last time out over 1m2f, but the shorter One Mile trip should be fine today. The ground conditions may be a little to firm today?

KODI BEAR ran well in the Dewhurst on final 2 year old start. Came 4th in a Group 1 last time out and may be a little below par. But previous to that run he won a listed event at Windsor when led all the way.

MUSTADEEM drops back to 1m today having gone off far to fast over 1m 2f last time out and not getting home (Royal Ascot (Group 3)).

CUSTOM CUT has 5lb more on its back today after a number of decent recent runs. Looks like the gelding could have what it takes to be involved and the 1m should suit. Looks to be versatile ground wise too.

Conclusion

KODI BEAR should go well but the price of 3/1 looks a little skinny to me. A tentative vote goes to TULLIUS who looks a value price at 13/2 who should run a decent race and give us a good run for our money.

The Importance Of Bankroll Management In Betting

Regular visitors to the Tipster Street Blog well be aware of my 'rants' on being a professional bettor.

To many bettors fall by the way side simply because they are unprofessional in the way they treat sports betting.

Indeed, it is possible for a bettor to follow a profitable tipster or strategy but still not make money in the long term. This is simply down to the individual not managing there betting bank. Some bettors do not even start with a betting bank.

Our good friend 'Kenny' over at Winners Odds has written a smashing article talking about bank management, and to why it is an important ingredient that every bettor should have.

Please take a few minutes to read the article,  even I learned something new from it!

Tennis Tipster Continues To Provide Profits For Free

Tennis is notoriously difficult to make profits from.

There have been many systems, strategies and trading products covering tennis in previous years, but many have failed to make profits in the long term.

The main reason for tennis tipsters struggling is down to the short prices on offer.

Unlike other sports there are only two outcomes in tennis. Either one or the other player will win! There are no draws and no 'extra time'. All games are played out until a winner is found via a tiebreak or other.

Because of there being only two outcomes bookmakers tend to squeeze the prices making value very difficult to find.

So it's quite exciting and refreshing that our proofing tipster who covers tennis, as well as darts and snooker continues to make healthy and consistent profits.

This tipster has successfully worked on a strategy on these three sports over many years. The strategy dictates what matches to look for before delving in to further data before making a decision of a bet or no bet.

Looking at the results you can see that the strategy works very well.

Since the beginning of the year this tipster has made £904.70 profit to £10 stakes. All this from an average of twenty five selections each month. The (ROI) Return On Investment stands at a very juicy 22%, and I eagerly except any invitation of finding another tennis tipster that provides anything near this!

Staking is very simple with all selections being 2pt Win bets, and if there is any more than one selection per day the tipster advises a 1pt double, treble or accumulator according to the amount of advice's.

The accumulator part is an important ingredient of this service, as it makes short priced advice's in to money making magnets! This is due to the high win strike rate that the tipster offers, currently standing at around 76%!

The accumulator worked well yesterday when two selections were advised on the men and women's tour...

Men - ATP Montreal - T.Robredo to beat F.Lopez @ 5/6
Women - WTA Toronto - S.Lisicki to beat V.Williams @ 7/5.

This meant an over all profit on the day of 7.87pts with the double part of the advice being worth 3.40pts alone.

Nadal Value In Rogers Cup?

The ATP Rogers Cup is up among the top tennis sporting events of the year, and the fun begins today at 5pm BST.

A strong field has been assembled in Montreal, Canada with the exception of Roger Federer.

The top eight seeds automatically get a bye in to the second round, so first thoughts are is there any value among these players.

The answer in my eyes yes, but only one.

Nadal seems to have a fairly easy draw up to the quarter final stage. Here he is likely to meet Kei Nishikori ranked five, however Nadal has never lost to Nishikori and will be expected to keep that run going.
Nadal Can Be Expected To Go
Well In Montreal At Value Odds

If Nadal does indeed get the better of this quarter final tussle he can be expected to face Andy Murray in the semi's. However Murray was bitterly disappointing last week losing to Teymuraz Gabashvili ranked 53! He looks 'stale' at present and may not have to much to offer here, although he does go well on this surface.

Rafael Nadal can expected to go well at juicy odds of 14/1.

Others players of interest...

We can not ignore Novak Djokovic who has been the winner here before, but he did slip up here last year against Jo-Wilfred Tsonga.

Milos Raonic, Vasek Pospisil & John Isner (if he can quickly get over last weeks efforts) can all expected to go well at decent odds.

Have a great day.

Sunday 'Championship' View

One game catches the eye today and surprisingly we are bypassing the Premier League, in favour of the Championship.

Preston take on Middlesbrough today at Deepdale with a midday kick off.

Deepdale Playing Host To Championship
Football Once More Today.
Preston finally got promotion last season from League One after a string of near misses. Deepdale will be bouncing as they welcome Championship favourites Middlesbrough.

Boro were arguably the best team in the Championship last season, however a mixture of inconsistency and poorish form at the end of the season meant they had to take their chances in the lottery of the play offs. They came up short unfortunately but it will be surprising if they do so again this term.

Middlesbrough have lost their midfield inspiration of Bamford who has returned to the Premier League with Crystal Palace, but he has been replaced by Stewart Downing or should rip many midfield's apart this season. With further high profile stars likely to come in (Jordan Rhodes is expected to make the move) Boro can be expected to go one better this time around.

Preston on the other hand will be happy with staying in the Championship and consolidating. They should have enough about them to do so, and with Joe Garner they have a goalscorer who should get the goals to help them on the way.

We can expect Middlesbrough to get the better of Preston today. With odds available of 6/4 that looks value.

Simple Strategy That Never Loses

I thought I would share a simple strategy with you today that works time and time again.

I have personally used this strategy for over twenty years and it has NEVER let me down.

You simply need to be sensible and professional in your staking.

The strategy will not make you a millionaire over night, but it will give you tax free money in your back pocket time ant time again for little work.

The strategy...

Firstly we are looking for a knock out tournament. It doesn't matter what sport it is as the strategy works on all sports. I would suggest however that the knock out tournament lasts no longer than a month, as your final winnings could be tied up for quite some time.

I have used this strategy in the English F.A.Cup, but with the rounds being played roughly once a fortnight it can be a few months before you 'collect'. However if you are professional and look at the long term profit this is not a problem.

Secondly, once we have found a knock out tournament, we are looking for a player or team that has no chance of winning the tournament.

A little bit of knowledge will help of course, but is not massively important as long as your are sensible here and look for outsiders with a bad draw or playing a hot favourite.

For this example I will use last years F.A.Cup.

Of course the early stages of the F.A.Cup start in August. This is when non league teams fight it out to join the big boys in the 1st Round Proper at the beginning of November. So we shall start our conquest to find a team that can not win the F.A.Cup from the First Round Proper!

Looking at the teams in the first round, we can see that if we are being honest none of the non league or League One or League Two teams are likely to go on and win the F.A.Cup. But the idea is to make a reasonable profit from our outlay at decent odds.

I decide that Warrington Town can NOT win the F.A.Cup, they are drawn to play Exeter at home in the 1st Round. Warrington come from level eight of the football pyramid and Exeter in League Two are from level four.

I am looking to win £5 from this tournament.

Exeter are priced at 4/6 to win at Warrington. I back Exeter at 4/6 with a £10 stake (because Warrington can not win the F.A.Cup). If Exeter win the game I will make £6.66 profit and return £16.66 in total.

However there is a cup shock with Warrington winning the game 1-0 and knocking Exeter out of the cup.

This means I am now £10 down.

I now wait till the second round draw, still very much confident of making a profit in this tournament because I know that Warrington can NOT win the F.A.Cup!

In the second round Warrington are drawn away to level five side Gateshead.
Gateshead And Warrington Battle
It Out In Last Seasons F.A.Cup

Gateshead are priced 1/2 to win the game. Therefore I stake accordingly to win my £5 target from this tournament.

I place a £30 on Gateshead to beat Warrington at 1/2. If they win I will return £45. This means a profit of £15, minus £10 lost in first game. I win my target £5 over all.

The game is played and Gateshead win 2-0.

I have made my targeted £5 profit from this tournament by simply picking a team that I knew could NOT win the F.A.Cup!

I would suggest targeting small £5, £10 or maybe £20 target profits. Because on occasions your player or team may go on a good run and win a few rounds. Therefore you will need a bank big enough to recoup previous losses and make your initial profit.

This is a very simple method of winning very regularly on a wide range of sports.

Try it out.

Have a great day.
