- Arsenal fans must be
thinking they’ve seen it all before – a strong start to the season that
suggest they are real title contenders, followed by a disappointing end
where simply making the top four becomes the new goal. Having slipped five
points off the pace, Arsenal will be looking to get back on track against
lowly Swansea.
Stoke City v
Newcastle – Wednesday 1945
Positions: Stoke 8th,
Newcastle 18th

- After a lean spell, Stoke
have managed to win their last two matches, but both were against teams
from near the bottom. Another side threatened with relegation visits the
Britannia here, and Stoke probably start as favourites given Newcastle’s
5-1 defeat in their last match
West Ham United v
Tottenham Hotspur – Wednesday 1945
Positions: West Ham 6th,
Tottenham 2nd

- A high octane London
derby, and a West Ham side who are flying high will ensure this is not an
easy night for Tottenham. However, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side on a
winning run of six matches, the odds must be on them making it seven.
Liverpool v
Manchester City – Wednesday 2000
Positions: Liverpool
9th, Man City 4th
Form:
Liverpool

- Three days after the sides
met in a League Cup final that City won on penalties, the two sides do it
all over again here. City are now nine points off the pace in the league
(albeit with a game in hand) after two successive defeats to their title
rivals. The same prediction probably applies here as was the case for the
final – City are favourites but Liverpool have the players to win on the
day if they play to their potential.
Manchester United v
Watford – Wednesday 2000
Positions: Man Utd 5th,
Watford 10th
Form:
Man Utd

- Buoyed by their win over
Arsenal, United will be expecting to make it back to back wins here. All
eyes will be on Marcus Rashford after his four goals in his first two
senior matches for United.
